Day 27: The Oregon Coast, July 26, 2017

We drove along the beautiful Oregon Coast. We stopped in Waldport to mail postcards, eat lunch and check out the beach. Then, we stopped at Cape Perpetua Scenic Area. We did a very fun trail that took us to the highest point on the Oregon Coast and had look-outs at the coast. We took another hike to the Giant Sitka Spruce. We saw this ginormous spruce that we got to crawl through and sit under. Leia and I swam in the creek together while Mommy sat inside the tree. We stopped at the beach near Heceta Head Lighthouse and I swam in the creek and we played on the beach. Then, we drove to the Sea Lion Caves. We took an elevator down 200 feet and watched Sea Lions in an enormous sea cave. It is one of the largest sea caves in the world. We walked over to the lookout and saw millions of sea lions. We got dinner at a Thai place in Coos Bay so we didn't have to make it at camp. We arrived at our campsite and made a wonderful fire.

The view from Cape Perpetua. Gorgeous area of the Oregon Coast.

Our hike through the magical forest at the top of the mountain.

It was like being in a fairytale!
