We drove to Las Vegas and didn't stop. We had quesadillas that we made in the car for lunch. When we arrived in Vegas it was 109 degrees. We checked into our hotel and went swimming to cool off. After swimming, we went to Mint, an Indian restaurant to eat. The food was delicious. Then, we drove to the Bellagio. We saw their beautiful floral display with a lemon theme. It was beautiful. Then we saw the glass flower celling. It is gorgeous! We took the tram to the Aria, which was not as nice as we thought it would be. The Ice Pillar statue was very pretty. We walked over to The Cosmopolitan. They had a beautiful chandelier bar. I got to sit in the giant shoe in front of it. We saw the Bellagio Light Show on the way back to the car. We got in the car and drove home. It was still 106, even at 9:30 at night.
Car is packed and we are ready to go!! Summer trip, here we come!!

ReplyDeleteOff and running... but only in the shade, I hope! Dan just returned from riding his bicycle in one hundred degree plus weather in Colorado and Utah... He sensibly went rafting on one of the hottest days. I haven't been to Las Vegas since I was about nine - it's changed a bit! Hope you have a great road trip this summer.
