We got up and immediately drove to the Artist Paintpots to beat the crowds. They were throwing mud and looked like acrylic paint. We saw one that was more wet and looked like water color and the dry one looked like acrylic. We went back and packed up the tent and drove through Yellowstone to Cody. We had lunch at a nice Mexican place with a porch overlooking the old town. After luinch, we had frozen yogurt and sat inside and wrote the blog. We drove on the Scenic Byway to our campground in the Big Horn National Forest. We set up camp and made dinner and a fire. This has been our best site ever!! After dinner, we saw a bull moose cross the river. He was magnificent!
Artist's Paintpots in the morning, On our 9 day stretch of camping, this was the only way we could photograph ourselves looking decent so early in the morning!!
We finally see a moose, just outside the Park boundary on the way to Big Horn!
Our site is right on the Tongue River- best spot ever!!
We are surrounded by trees!
Street Tacos for dinner- a camping staple!!
