Day 8: Tremonton, UT to Jackson Hole, WY, July 7, 2017

We drove to Idaho Falls in Idaho. We visited Idaho for the first time. Another state!! Now I am at 38 states visited. We drove to the Riverview Park and walked around and got shave ice, which was very good. Then, we saw the falls, which we were beautiful. We drove to Jackson Hole Wyoming. We unpacked and drove to the Grand Tetons. Leia stayed in the hotel because she can't go river floating with us. We walked around the visitor center and learned all about the history of the park. We ate dinner at the little deli in the store. We floated down the river for two hours. We saw lots of birds and beavers and even an osprey eating a fish in a tree. The beavers were very cute!! We saw incredible view of the Tetons and from our wonderful guide we learned a lot about the Snake River. Before we came home, we stopped in the town square and saw the arches made from elk antlers.

Shave Ice!!! It's everywhere here!

  1. The Grand Tetons look beautiful... I was there when I was about nine, maybe seven? All I remember is riding a ski lift and being really scared on the way up and loving the ride on the way down. It is a magnificent place! Love the wall of antlers and the arc of plastic bottles. 38 states before age 13! When do you go to Alaska and Hawaii? You can all go surfing at Waikiki! P.S. there is a cat rescue at Maui... My friend wouldn't let her family go there because she was afraid she would come back with too many cats!
